Terms

Short, because there isn't much to say.

What you are buying

A rectangle of pixels on the Million Pixel World map, at $1 per pixel, sold in blocks of 2×2 pixels ($4 minimum). You choose the spot, upload an image and a link, and we display them on that rectangle.

How long it stays up

We intend to keep the map online with your pixels displayed for at least five years from your purchase. This is a small independent project, not a company with guarantees: if it ever has to come down, we will say so publicly and in advance. Nothing here is a contractual uptime promise.

Payment and refunds

Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card details. All sales are final. Once pixels are sold they are gone from the map, so we do not refund a change of mind. If something is genuinely broken on our side, email us and we will sort it out.

What you may not put on the map

No sexual content, no hate speech, no harassment of a person or group, no malware or phishing links, no content that is illegal where we operate, and nothing that impersonates someone else. We also do not host links to sites doing any of the above.

We can remove or hide any image or link that breaks these rules, without a refund. We would much rather ask you to change it first, so we will usually email before we remove anything — but for the clear cases we act first.

Your image and link

You confirm you have the right to use the image you upload. You keep ownership of it; you give us permission to display it on the map, on your deed page, and in screenshots of the map used to promote the site. Links get rel="nofollow noopener", so buying pixels here does not pass SEO value — please do not buy for that reason. We append UTM parameters to outbound clicks so the visits show up as coming from us in your own analytics; if you already use UTM tags on your link, yours are left alone.

Your claim link

The claim URL you get after paying is the only key to your plot. There is no account and no password. Anyone with that link can edit your plot, so keep it to yourself, and bookmark it — we cannot always recover it for you.

Coordinates

The latitude and longitude shown on your deed describe where your pixels sit on our world map. They are a fun fact about a picture, not a claim to any land, property, or legal right anywhere on Earth.
